Portland-based audio-visual artist Kyle Bates who performs as Drowse releases a final single from the upcoming album Wane Into It. Having already shared 'Untrue In Headphones', which features label-mate Midwife and 'Mystery Pt. 2', new track 'Three Faces (Cyanoacrylate)' is an expansive final taste of the anticipated record before its full release. Bates sings over gentle swells of distorted bass, acoustic guitar, persistent electronic glitches and layers of distant drones that all combine to create a distinctly melancholic yet beautiful soundscape, around the four minute mark the track is gradually lifted by strings and rumbling percussion that spills out into a bass led doom-laden choral outro. Having cited artists such as The Microphones, Grouper and experimental post-hardcore band Unwound as influences, the new record is set to be a distinctly dark and atmospheric listen.
